Alex - Solo RP & Special Missions

After leaving the mess hall, Alex makes his way towards Dark Branch. He was still having trouble shaking the nightmare and his mind was still racing. He was trying to get some closure to all these "what ifs" in his mind.



Alex walks into Dark Branch and takes a look around to see if he can spot the woman that talked to Genevieve. She looked important enough to be the Branch Head. Of course, he glanced back at the Mission Board to see if anything had changed from last night. Even though he wasn't a member of Dark, he wanted to see if there was one similar to the one Yue wanted to do on Dark's board as well.

"What in the world are you?" Alex mumbled to himself. He took out his Poketome to look up the creature before him. He then noticed the direction that it was looking in. He looked down at himself, and didn't notice anything strange. 'Maybe someone is behind me?' He thought and looked back to see if that's what the creature was looking at instead.

"Huh. Weird. I don't know what you're looking for, but I can't see it." Alex says with a shrug towards the mysterious pokemon before him. He 'tries' to ignore the pokemon the best he can, with how much you can ignore something with claws, horns, and spikes that is staring you down everywhere you go. "Hello, is anyone around? I'm looking for the Branch Head." Alex says loudly. He doesn't want to yell because people could be sleeping still in the next rooms over.

”Oh whoa, where did you come from!”Alex said to the girl. He looked around the room again to see if he missed anyone else. He added, “I’m here looking for a woman. Black hair, imposing, very serious looking. I thought she was the leader of this branch. Is she around by chance? I just have something I wanted to discuss with her. I don’t know about joining this particular branch though. You see, I’m more of an Alchemist. I was told to look into the Grass or Poison branches. I haven’t chosen one yet. Do you have any healers in the Dark Branch?”

Alex just sighs. So much for getting stuff done. One trip, nothing accomplished so far. This girl was kinda weird too. He says, “Well, thank you for not killing me after sneaking up on me this time. I have to admit, you are very good at what you do. I had no idea that you were even around. You should be proud of that level of skill. I thought myself pretty attentive to small details, but that level of skill is beyond anything I’ve seen.” He motions to the still mysterious creature in the middle of the room. “I couldn’t find any entry in the tome for that one. Do you happen to know what it is? Can I just let it know that I would like to speak to Lady D’Mara when she has a free moment? It concerns a friend of mine that she spoke with another leader about yesterday. Hey, if you wouldn’t mind, maybe sometime in the future...could you show me a couple pointers on being sneaky? I’m a klutz when it comes to that sort of thing. It would be nice to have a few tips if I need to do that same thing to Pokemon in the wild. No rush, I have more errands to do anyways. It was nice meeting you miss...” Alex trails off at the end. He hadn’t even caught her name. “My name is Alex. Should the lady have a free moment, I will be headed to Grass Branch. I was told that’s where most of the Alchemists come from.” If the girl has nothing else, Alex will turn and head out of Dark Branch and away from the girl that appears out of nowhere. 

Alex goes outside for a breath of fresh air. He decides to go around to the area that he sparred with Yue in. Alex releases the two pokemon he has with him. Stout comes out of the ball tucked in his shell. It seems he wasn't too used to the outside yet. Squirt immediately took to the air to scout around the area again. "Okay guys. This is our first official day as guild members." Alex says but then pauses. "Well, it should be when we get back. I'll do that later. Right now, since I needed a break anyways, we're going to train a bit. Stout, you're new, so Squirt will lead. Squirt, fire a bunch of small droplets for Stout to catch. Stout, catch all of them you can buddy. Squirt, aim for little odd patches on the ground. We need to work on your accuracy." Alex stood back while the two pokemon worked on some accuracy training for the next hour.

Alex was mostly disappointed in his small city outing. The elder he challenged just happened to be really good at giving commands and just out played him in the end. He had hoped that the Fisherman he found next would be easier since he had Stout. Turned out that Stout needed some more training though as the Fisherman packed a whollop as well. At least he did alright against the swimmer that was watching. Even though she had the same type of pokemon that the fisherman did, it turned out that the practice from the fight before helped Stout win over that one. Alex thanked the pair for the lessons and the battles in general and headed back towards the Guild.



Once he arrived in the Guild, Alex stopped in to see the Alchemists. He was curious to check out the infirmary and see what it was like. He didn't stick around long though because he still had a few more things to get done before lunch. He took off towards the Grass Branch at the back of the guild to see about joining up with them.



(Alex lost two battles, and won 1. Total EXP gained: 44 split between the two participants. Squirt leveled up to 12 (+1 HP). Stout leveled up to 8 (+1 HP, Def, SDef))

Alex strolled around the large open area for awhile, just looking at all the vegetation. He tried to pick out berry plants, and different herbs that he remembered from back home. He wanted to take mental note if the guild had an area for raising crops or somewhere that branch members could plant. After looking around, he decided to go check out the greenhouse since no one was outside.



Alex walked into the greenhouse area and gazed at all the Pokemon inside just soaking up sunlight. The heat from inside was a little much for him, but not too unbearable. He looked around to see if anyone was care taking among all the peaceful Pokemon.

"Oh look at this, it's...ahh look out!" Alex was so distracted and looking over the different habitats, that he didn't see the person sleeping. He begins to fall and reaches out to catch some protrusion. He manages to catch a shelf that an oddish was sleeping on, jostling the poor thing awake briefly. As it settled back into it's nap, Alex looked back down to the sleeping person. "I'm so sorry. I didn't see you there. Are you alright? Did I hurt you?" He says kneeling down to check on the form on the floor.

"Is every branch in the guild weird? First creepy sneaky girl, and now plant people. What's next, people that can just breathe fire?" Alex mumbles to himself. He prods the grass person to see if it was a body wrapped in vines, or if there was just plant matter in the shape of a person all over the floor.
